Personal Data I Collect
Most likely you will make first contact with me either through a delightful recommendation or randomly stumbling across my a)website b)Facebook page c) Instagram profile d) Twitter feed. Therefore I will already have your email address and name. If we end up making a booking I will need your mobile number so we can make contact in the run up to the event, as well as the event itself. I will sometimes take a second or third point of contact for the day (mainly weddings) just in case you're busy and I need to still make contact with someone. If this end up being the case then please ask the person before providing me with their number.
How I collect and keep your personal data
Your emails are kept safe and password protected either on my phone or home computer. If your enquiry does not result in a booking I will delete all the emails and contact details within 30 days. If your enquiry does result in a booking I will copy your details over to a secure document that will be password protected, on a hard drive that will also be password protected and accessed via my computer which, yep you guessed it, will also be password protected.
Right of confirmation, access, rectification and erasure
If you have questions about how your personal data is handled, just drop me an email and I will get back to you ASAP. I’m more than happy to show you the information I have on you, although it will only be what you've already provided me through our direct communication. If some of the information is wrong, you have the right to correct. If you’d like me to delete all your personal data, you have the right to request it.
24 months from when your pictures have been provided I will delete all contact details and emails related to your booking. The pictures will be retained on a password protected hard drive (but removed from the secure online folder). They may be used via my Facebook Page, Instagram, Twitter or website to assist with marketing. If a third party enquires about the pictures within the 24 months I will let you know but will never share anything without your express permission.
Use of your data
I will naturally use you email address and mobile number to keep in touch all the way up to, during and after the booking (until you receive your pictures). I will not pass your email address to anyone else. If a second photographer has been booked I may need to provide them with your contact number so they can also contact you on the day. You will be told about this in advance and have the right to decline!
Other than the event you've hopefully hired me for your details aren't used for anything else. All of my marketing is on the publicly accessible Facebook Page (www.facebook.com/arvinder.photos/), Instagram (arvinder.photography) and occasionally Twitter (@arvindersphotos) but your personal details won't be part of this unless you've granted me permission beforehand. I also don't keep a mailing list so you won't have to worry about receiving 'offer' emails from me.
Photographs are not run through facial recognition software so no personal details will be attained to them. If at a later date you require your personal details to be removed the photographs will remain; as no personal details are stored with them and Arvinder.Photography will remain as the copyright holder. Naturally you can request to be removed from marketing at any time as well as requesting your personal data to be deleted prior to the 24 months mentioned above.
